RNLD's staff members are encouraged to give back to the community.
This Christmas, our staff are collecting gifts to donate to Berry Street, a wonderful organisation in Victoria which supports and heals children and families affected by violence and abuse.

We are support the Red Cross Blood Service and offer our staff the opportunity to donate blood during their work time.
We encourage you and your organisation to consider joining the Club Red blood donation program. Click on the logo for more information about the Australian Red Cross Blood Service, or to book your own appointment.
In the past, RNLD staff have also supported charity events held for the Melbourne City Mission. Here is a sample of the events past RNLD staff have participated in:
Felicity Houwen volunteered at Sleep at the 'G which raised money to combat homelessness. The night was a great success and raised over $300 000. Click on the logo to learn more about Melbourne City Mission's vision and projects.
Alison Soutar and Felicity Houwen helped collect entry donations at the Queen Victoria Night Markets. Half of the proceeds went to Melbourne City Mission, while the other half contributed to the running of the markets.

Alison and Felicity also helped out with their Cherry Auction Breakfast where cherry growers entered their biggest and best 5kg box of cherries to be judged. The winner was auctioned for charity, with all proceeds from the event shared equally between Melbourne City Mission and Variety – the Children's Charity.
