International Mother Language Day 2010

UNESCO's International Mother Language Day is officially celebrated on 21 February. This year, UNESCO has declared that the day will be celebrated in the framework of the International Year for the Rapprochement of Cultures.
Join RNLD in various locations for an IMLD celebration with a screening of In Languages We Live — Voices of the World

Associated events: Alice Springs linguists and the Town Library are producing a display of Indigenous language materials and posters about International Mother Tongue day and Language Endangerment, and are screening locally made DVDs. The displays will be up for one week from Monday 22-27.
